Starting from the 2025 model year, all HALO KNIGHT electric scooters are equipped with the LCD Central Display + NFC dual-security system.
Riders can unlock the scooter either with the NFC card or by entering a four-digit display password.

For safety reasons, we strongly recommend changing the factory preset password during your first setup.

Below is a complete guide to help you update the password securely.

🔐 Before You Begin: About the Factory Preset Password

Each scooter comes with a preset password, which can be found in your:

  • User manual

You’ll need this original password to access the password-change menu.
(If you cannot locate it, please contact HALO KNIGHT support for verification assistance.)

🔧 Step-by-Step Password Change Instructions

1. Power on the display

Press the power button to activate the LCD Central Display.

2. Enter the settings menu

Press and hold the “+” and “–” buttons simultaneously until the settings interface appears.

3. When “S1” appears, enter your original password

  • Use short presses of “+” or “–” to adjust each digit.

  • Short-press the power button to move to the next digit.

  • After entering all four digits, press and hold the power button to confirm.

Once the correct code is entered, the display will move automatically to the next step.

4. When “S2” appears, set your new password

  • Choose a new four-digit password of your preference.

  • Adjust each digit using “+” and “–”.

  • Short-press the power button to move between digits.

  • Press and hold the power button to confirm the new password.

Choose a secure combination that’s easy for you to remember but difficult for others to guess.

💾 Saving Your New Password

Your new password will be stored automatically.
Press and hold the power button to exit and switch off the scooter.

During future startups, simply enter your new password to unlock the scooter.
The NFC card remains available as an alternative unlocking method.

✔️ Tips for European Riders

  • Avoid simple sequences such as 0000 or 1234.

  • Store your NFC card in a safe place in case you forget the password.

  • If your password is lost, contact HALO KNIGHT Customer Service for identity verification and reset support.

  • Changing the password increases security, especially when parking in shared spaces or public areas.
